After i watched the first episode i couldn't stop watching it , Margaret Qualley acting was top notch , i hope there will be a second season to see how it progress through the story since i feel the ending has a left open ending.
shareThe story is partially based on an autobiography(the mother & other characters were made up).
So most likely the author became successful after going to college for creative writing(so hence would loose the poverty angle if there’s a season two follow up).
The mom’s situation might of been continued(as it was hinting that’s she in an new abusive relationship) but her character was so over the top anyways that it will take away whatever realism the story had going for it in the first place.
I feel this was an powerful/semi true, stand alone mini series(no need for another season as it probably be pure fiction)
Same. I was totally hooked from the first episode. Great show. My girlfriend loved it too, but she also found it kinda depressing so we watched only 1 or 2 episodes a night. I thought the acting was top notch from everyone. If there is a second season I will definetely watch it, but I think it works wonderfully as a miniseries. 10/10
