My 2 cents
I got a lot of joy seeing the main 6 together on the sets, however, it hit different as you realize they're just people with different lives and nothing you see in the show applies to them. The familiarity is there but also, the distance between them is there too.
Matthew Perry for one seems changed the most - I guess being near death so many times will do that to a person. But when he did interviews between '94 and 2004, he was a bit Chandler-like.
I noticed that I can 'get' these people from interviews and 'feel' a bit of who they are.
Jennifer Aniston after the whole media frenzy with Brangelina, changed her demeanor in interwiews - she's only talking about nice, beautiful things but basically saying nothing. I suppose that's to be expected after being hounded by paparazzi for years.
Schwimmer feels like a very serious person, smart yet a bit arrogant and dismissive. He played the role of a friendly Schwimmer in this interview, im sure of it.
Lisa Kudrow does feel as a very cerebral person who's also very private - I feel like she's the best actor of the group cause she's nothing like Phoebe, except for the laugh.
Courteney Cox - she applies the same strategy as Aniston and talks a lot without saying anything. Changed a lot from the interviews she gave while the show aired.
Matt LeBlanc is the best. He was the only one who was pretty much open and living in the moment, trying to make the others remember stuff, he was pretty much an open book here.
But...
The biggest issue with the reunion remains.
First rule of Friends? Shouldve been:
Let the people who made Friends make the reunion. They deserve it.
New director, writers so on... no one seemed to care that Justin Bieber had nothing to do with the show. David Beckham, I know he's friends with Cox but... why??
Whats Cara Delevigne, Jon Snow and others doing here? Go home.
Also, we already know the impact the show had over people because we are the people who still watch the show and we're already all over the world. There's no need to show us other fans.
Wouldve been much more watchable if the 6 were în the apartment and talked to eachother for the whole duration. James Corden tried to do a good job but the whole show feels forced and fails.
Friends was funny. The reunion not so much, no.
