I feel like with the new additions the show is turning into the new Dr Phil show. So far it's just way too much drama with them not even trying to educate people more like having Jillian just shrill and over talk the guests. She's not even a doctor no clue as to why she is there.

You are definately not alone in your opinion. I too find the new additions to be a big mistake. Especially Michaels, who is not a doctor. Her opinion on anything other than diet and exercise (which I would not take) is of no more value than anyone else on the street. Sadly I think the producers have sold out and gone for entertainment over education. Personally I think the loud mouthed Michaels will drive viewers away in droves.
Wendy Walsh lost me when she pretty much agrued that the "hot sauce mom" was not abusive on Jane Velez-Mitchell's show. The opinion of anyone who thinks that it is ok to traumatize and abuse a child is of absolutely no value to me.
She said that about hot sauce mom? What was her rationale? My husband can eat just about the hottest peppers there are and be fine, but my mother and I can hardly handle spicy food at all. There is a big difference amongst people. Much less a child. And as some experts testified, it can cause an allergic reaction which can kill a child.
I realize that that child has Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and needs help. That's not typical behavioral problems. But these religious groups are now promoting adoption as the new badge of honour among their parishoners, and not everyone should be adopting children. It's really sad. And I blame James Dobson and his Focus on the Family group for a lot of these problems. For promoting the adoptions and promoting strict (as opposed to effective) discipline. It makes me sick just thinking about it.
