shareI'll preface this by saying I am not from the United States. But my husband is from the United States and was in the United States Military. This part of the film was hilariously real. The government cuts every corner and is so wasteful, yet they put the responsibility on the average United States citizen to be conservative when it comes to waste and recycling and spending. Like it's entirely up to the average Joe to "save the world" but the massive corporations and military get a free pass to just be as wasteful and screw up the planet as much as possible.
shareI assumed that I must have missed the part where Dr Mindy breaks up with his wife because it seemed unlike his character to just jump headfirst into an affair, publicly, like that? I figured I must have been out of the room when him and his wife split or something. Then of course the scene where he gets confronted by the wife happens and I was like WAIT so he was still with her??!
