I NEED SEASON 2 ASAP

Same!! I can not wait. One of the best shows I have ever watched.

Do you really though? I hate to see Severance go the way of so many clever streaming series in the past. Lost. Stranger Things. Shows that were so inspired in their maiden season, only to topple upon their own weight. These shows get a loyal fan base, and the writers invariably try to satisfy them season after season until they run out of ideas and can not longer subvert expectations.

SPOILERS:

Why can't we just assume the finale portended the beginning of the end? Between Mark's revelation to his sister, whatever Irving and Burt might hatch, and, especially, Helly's reveal at the Lumon gala, enough people would shut down severance for good. But no, if there is a Season 2, management will fight back tooth and nail to dispel any doubt/reform. And we'll likely have to get used to four new core MDR employees because how could Lumon continue to employ Mark, Irving, Dylan, and Helly? Round II to Lumon. Round III to the employees. Round IV to either the employees or Lumon depending on how optimistic or dystopian the producers want to go. Do we really need to go through this song-and-dance? I guess only time will tell ...
