At least that's the message here (and Hostel, etc)- weird, disgusting oddballs from some far off, obscure countries, always out to kill Western Europeans.

Actually, they were gypsies (thus Indians). Also, Sam Raimi being of Russian Jewish ethnic background made them speak Russian. So the message is a bit different ;)
