No, the sex wasn't real. They blurred some of the shots as a joke, or perhaps just to hide the fact that there was no actual penetration going on. For the record, I thought the sex scene was an unnecessary repetition of a similar scene in the first film, but in an "anything goes" kind of flick like this, I can't really say it was out of place.
And there are genuine porn stars in the film, but they only do a brief cameo, when Chev's car gets held up by the protest march.

He did the movie 'cause it's unique, funny and if you view it as a sort of spoof/homage of other movies it's really good.
Some people think they're gonna see action movie and then they freak out. It's an explotation movie and pretty damn hilarious too.
