I don't think his brother is that well known enough as an actor to have a supporting role like Efren is. Carlos was in a couple of scenes in this, as well as the first, as I heard in the commentary, but that was it.
As for Venus being gay, it was never really said, actually. I know Kaylo was supposed to be gay, but I am not sure about Venus. Don Kim may have said that he was of the "gay condition" but I think maybe he could have been metrosexual or something. He could have been gay, bi or even straight for that matter. I couldn't tell myself. It was even like that with Orlando becoming a gay biker and being at some club where these guys ride on some other guys whereas in the first film, he was part of some gang that was a cross between bikers and gangbangers who also ran a strip club, despite Neveldine and Taylor saying that he was gay in the commentary.
