Mike Patton just FAILS sometimes

I can't believe he associated himself with this chunk of crap. I watched a mere 5 minutes of it and was disgusted - with the ludicrousness of the story/directing/editing/acting and - look away now Pattonphiles - the soundtrack.

I'm a huge Patton fan but these days it seems like he's just hungry for dollars. He's tremendously talented and I would respect him if he did it as a stepping-stone into better films... but, damn...

I hate Jason Statham. With a burning, bitter-fuelled passion. He's awful.

I'm just a big ol' guinea pig

Have you even listened to the score? Its Mike Patton experimental music at its best.

BTW, Danny Lohner and Maynard have a cameo in this, as well. I assume you'll follow this up with saying Tool fails?

This is the place where I'd be sucked straight to Hell- if I believed in Hell.

reply

Really? You can't see why Patton would score a film that changes stylistically every 30 seconds, and fuses together sex and violence into a whirlwind of manic energy?

reply

Yeah, he's such a sellout. Just look at his latest solo album - all those trendy Italian pop song covers, in Italian. It was one thing when Bieber did it, but now Patton's just on the bandwagon. He'll do anything for airplay.

WIN!

you missed the point. I think Patton realized this was a surreal masterpiece of sorts... the same way a slam dunk could be considered avant-garde

reply

I thought his score was the only decent thing about this movie.

Boycott movies that involve real animal violence! (and their directors too)
