But wasn't the dragon pit under the Red Keep??
How did she get under the floor of the sept?
That wasn't the sept, it was indeed the dragon pit. The upper level used to be like a domed arena. The great sept from game of thrones wasn't built yet.
shareWhy would they hold the coronation above the dragon pit? Plus it seemed like Rhaenys had LEFT the Red Keep and was caught up in the crowd heading toward the coronation, which seemed like it was somewhere that was not the Red Keep.
shareI think this was the largest structure at the time, in terms of crowd capacity. This is where Rhaenys wanted to go originally, while Errick wanted to take her to a ship. She started smiling when she realized the crowd was pushing her to where she wanted to go.
