Superman and villain of the week flying with superspeed, yet Luthor in pursuit with his RV?

Also, after Luthor shot both down, why didn't Superman go after him? He went home as if nothing happened!?

Only one? The whole we don't have money bullshit is a huge problem. How many times did Superman squeeze coal into diamonds in the comics and here he doesn't do that to get the money they need and then some.
