just watched it last night
I ordered this movie from amazon last week and it arrived a few days ago, and last night I watched it. I had originally planned to watch it at 8:00 when I normally watch movies, and it was the only movie I had planned to watch, as I normally just watch one a night. But when I first put the dvd in just after eight it would not play, for several minutes the TV just showed a blank screen. I was very frustrated by this, but then decided to watch another movie, and put The Town That Dreaded Sundown in, which I also had considered watching last night and which this year has its 40th and 70th anniversaries. I don't know if anyone on the Hannah Montana board has even heard of that movie, let alone knows what it is about. These two movies couldn't be any more different, though they do have one thing in common, they both have a scene where two people swing into a pond via a rope tied to a tree.
I then did watch The Town That Dreaded Sundown and had no problems, and when it was over it was just a little after 9:30, so I decided to see if maybe Hannah Montana would play now, and put it in, and to my relief it did play and I watched the whole movie with no futher problems, finishing around 11:20. I had actually seen it twice when it was in theaters, on Friday, April 10, 2009 (its opening night), then at a second run theater in early July, 2009. I was battling a serious case of depression during the spring and early summer of 2009, which put me in a mental health facility from July 9-30, 2009, so maybe I did not like Hannah Montana as much as I normally would have then, but there was another thing that occured to me a little then, and I really thought about it last night while watching the movie. And that is I think you really have to had been watching the series Hannah Montana regularly week to week to fully understand and be into the movie. I had never watched a single episode of the series before I saw the movie, as I was homeless and had no TV acess from 1997 to 2010, and I think people who had were really alot more into and understanding of the movie. I still have not seen any of the TV show episodes, though I did like the movie allright, but still not as much as if I had been a regular watcher of the TV series.
But back to another point before I go, have any of you Hannah Montana fans ever heard of or seen The Town THat Dreaded Sundown, and if so what did you think of it?
