Egger's style

Is NOT fit for this type of movie (higher budget, kinda action oriented).

It kept a lot of the Egger's elements (cinematography, color palette - or rather lack of, actors, mystery and misticism) but lacked a lot of what would have been required.

More realistic fight scenes with a bit better coreo being one element - they just looked stiff while throwing weapons around - the game was a lot better. Filming style is VERY static and while it helps with some scenes a bit more (just a bit) dynamism would have helped in others. Although the filming style kinda helps with brutality and simplicity of some/most of the scenes.

The mystic scenes were a bit too "real", I liked more how misticism was depicted in Raising Valhala, still keeping surrounded by mystery.

I was kinda laughing at the irony of "I will avenge you father, bla bla" while the guy literally kills a whole village without any moral concerns or wondering if anyone would try to avenge those people ...

Sorry you feel that way, I loved this movie and am very excited to see what he does next.

agreed. I love the realism combined with the fantastical. showing us the fight with that giant skeleton, then it being in his head. or how any of the visions and such were drug induced. its extremely accurate.

its not as if these things existed during their time, but they THOUGHT they did. they did take mushroom and go into trances and "saw things"

the movie perfectly captured this.
