Bit confused

I though tonight was the shows premier. The first two episodes shown tonight on Spike had a narrator that sounded like the guy who does a lot of A&E shows (not Bill Kurtis) and had a bit of a creepier vibe, while the latter 2 episodes had a different narrator and more of an "educational" tone rather than the shockumentary esque feel of the two episodes before it.

Was it on before? And will the creepier version ever come back?

I liked the creepier narrator as well... Made the stories seem that much more errie and feel alot more tragic... The educational guy sounds like he's teachin rather than tellin real stories about how people died... I think the creepier narrator will be the main guy tho... The episode at 10pm was the new one I believe and it had him narrating it...

The 2 episodes on at 11 and 11:30 was the test out episodes from 2008 (the so called "first" season which only conprised these 2 episodes) as you notice the source trailer end where Original Production has an empty film reel as the logo. The narrator in the 2008 2 episodes is executive producer Thom Beers who has done a lot of voice over work. Beers is no longer the narrator though still produces the 2009 episodes.

The creepier version as you call it is the current (supposedly full length) season. This version is the format of the upcoming episodes which will be continued this Wednesday.

I do not know who the current narrator is, but he sounds a LOT like Ron Perlman (aka Hellboy today).

Well that's good, I preferred that version a lot more. Thanks for the info.
