Japanese man killed by giant wasps

There was a show about the giants wasps or hornets of Japan; I forget which channel it was on. Maybe National Geographic or Discovery.

The man (either middle-aged or elderly) was just doing some yardwork and apparently got too close to the nest. They stung him so many times in the face that the venom literally dissolved his face. They didn't show any photos of the victim, which just leaves me to imagine what he looked like.

I don't know why but his death makes me feel really uncomfortable. Do you think Spike should cover this or would it be in poor taste given the show's "comedic" nature?

reply

no i dont think they should cover it. it would be mean cuz he didnt do anything to really bother the nest, did he?

reply

Yeah, I remember.

The giant wasps of Japan.
Asian Giant hornet.

There is a great website on them.

Actually, I think death #213 (about the Asian giant hornets in the massage parlor) might be based off of that from what I read.
