The metaphysical implications



This is such a good image of Christian conservative thinking.
The concept is that there is a God who punishes the wicked. If you are bad _God: will punish you, the law is incidental.
Every single person who dies, no matter what, the person is portrayed as this evil person, even if the "evil" is the most banal act. People who slack off at work, people who commit tiny crimes or rude acts, they are all punished by "fate", i.e. God.
We'd all like to believe this, that only wicked people die terrible deaths, but, sadly it isn't so.
This show seems to be written by aging writers who hate the rudeness of young people and wants, so badly, a fair and balanced universe...

I'd never thought of it that way before. I do see some truth in what you're saying, but it doesn't seem to me that ALL of the people who die on this show are wicked. Only about half of them are. The other half are just plain stupid.
