Gotta hand it to Garrett Hedlund

This guy killed it. I mean you could tell he really loved the role of Sam Flynn and played it exactly right. I'm actually surprised he hasn't been in more movies, or at least more big fun popcorn flicks. He may not be a Daniel Day Lewis, but give the guy a role where he can have fun and he'll live up to it.

It takes a lot to make a convincing straight man who's dropped into a new environment completely outside his element, but he did it really well. He was competent, heroic, and sympathetic.
