STILL the best movie going experience I've ever had

I saw it once on opening weekend and again a week or two later and it still ranks at the top of my theater movie going experiences. Just awesome...the visuals, the story and don't even get me started on the score. It elevated everything. The soundtrack is an instant classic. The overall cool factor was and is something special. No, it's not the best movie I've ever seen nor did it completely blow me away or have me on the edge of my seat. Heck, I didn't even see it in IMAX. However, the film as a whole (story, characters, visuals, music and action) made for the most fun I've had at the movies before or since. I'm glad I caught this one on the big screen.

I really couldn't agree more :)

Very true. Has also been the best 3D film I've watched. Seen the movie at least 5 times since the theater and it never gets old.

That's pretty sad.

Agreed to all of this. When the opening score of the movie started, the first thought through my mind was "Dude...that sounds like Daft Punk. Good tunes". Then when I saw Daft Punks cameo in Zuse's bar, I damn near jumped out of my seat. Their music, is a large portion of what makes this movie so great. No, the story isn't overly spectacular (it is Disney, afterall), but the rest of the movie makes up for any weaknesses. It's a pretty far-out story concept as is, how much more in depth would you have them go? Remember, watching a movie isn't about them spoon feeding you the plot, it's also about how you respond to it, and your mind inserting the appropriate responses to their stimuli.

All in all, awesome movie. Hands down the best theatre experience I've had.

Terminator 2 still holds the title for my personal best theater experience (saw it opening weekend), but Tron: Legacy was pretty amazing. The audio/visual experience was so enjoyable that I saw it three times. I got chills when CLU's ship enters the arena before the disc battle. The theater I was in had the sound really cranked up. I remember sitting there I actually started chuckling because the whole thing felt so amazing. Drums banging, synthesizer blaring, then CLU walks...no, strolls into the room. So damn cool.

Back off! ... Way off!
