Where's Tron in Tron: Legacy

Seriously? Where is Bruce???

reply

You really wanna know: Naturally.. SPOILERS below:

Bruce plays Alan, in the first part of the film. TRON appears in a significant flashback.. but then there's a surprise revelation that Rinzler is actually TRON, and he has been 'repurposed' by CLU. When he hears Kevin Flynn's voice, TRON begins to overcome the reprogramming; he attacks CLU so the Flynns and Quorra can escape.

TRON was actually in the film all along, we just didn't know it!

Well.. that was it. A lot of people wondered the same thing... why is the movie called TRON: Legacy, when TRON is barely an idea in it?

I dunno.

Most likely as a recognizable name. Any person that lived through the '80's, or at least, watched the original Tron, would be able to recognize it. Had they not named it Tron, they would have lost out on the original fanbase going to watch it.

Furthermore, Tron is in the whole movie, again not immediately recognizable, but that's part of the excitement and thrill when you realize it was him all along. And that he was corrupted. But that he could be uncorrupted. You knew there would be a sequel through that revelation alone.

Tron was at the end.. he died fighting.. he was the guy that said "I fight for the users"

then while he was floating down to the bottom of the sea the lights on his clothing turned from orange to white to signify him becoming a good guy again

Piccolo: Yeah... More like, burnt toast.
