A real Jekyll and Hyde situation

This series has two very different natures.

I really like all the stuff about the inside man, but strongly dislike all the stuff about the psychopathic vicar.

Makes for a really weird viewing experience. Maybe I should start fast forwarding a lot.

HA - I thought the exact same thing.
The prisoner deserves his own show.

reply

Yep. The premise is like "Sherlock Homes solves crimes without leaving his room".

I think it was meant to be a show for the inside man, by the way, but when they got an actor as good as Dr. Who as the villain, that part of the show probably got expanded by a lot.

reply

wouldn't be surprised if there was another season dealing with more small cases and a series long larger case or two.

reply

psychopathic vicar? I think that's oversimplifying it - he's trying to protect his son from a false accusation that would destroy his life. And all the moves he makes, and that Janice makes, just keep digging the hole deeper. Sure, by the time he's confronted by Beth he has gone off the deep end but given the situation it's hardly surprising.

reply

Either he has no empathy or no brains, as he should have known the kind of consequences these decisions would have. Take your pick. But as a minister why would he even consider them? Totally unsympathetic character.
