Worst film of the year.

i currently have it as my #2 favourite of the year behind pig, but they're basically my co-favourites. i absolutely loved it, and will definitely watch it a billion more times.

my review:

as a guy who's at an age where you sometimes can feel like you've seen it all and maybe seen it all too many times, this is a cinematic gift.

whatever might be said about this, it is not bland, factory assembled, cookie-cutter stuff.

not to say it's completely unlike anything i've seen before. it's got some cronenberg squirm inducing body horror stuff. it has some of the feel of those french horror films of the last decade. it's got some angry feminist messaging, i guess. i'll leave it to the intellectuals to sort that stuff out.

i was going to see halloween kills today, but i might go and see this again instead.

if you see it, try not to read anything about it. go in as blind as possible.

sometimes i feel like i can't get excited by things anymore. this got my motor running.

I don't think you can get any unsexier than this movie.

Such a strange movie.

This is a story of a female serial killer. Overtones of sex. You can’t sell this as the sexiest movie because it is way more than that. Love is a dog from hell. That’s her.

I loved this movie. One of my favorites of recent movies. It won the Palme d’or at the Cannes Film Festival. Titane comes from the titanium plates which is what happened to her as a child in the auto accident caused from her trying to get her dad’s attention. When she grows up, she’s hell on wheels. No man is safe, until…
