With KS and JE being love interests and having recreational drug use in Adventureland, let your mind go there for a second.

Brennan/Em are still together. But after failing in NY, he's a drugged out convenient store clerk. Finally wants to propose to Em after all this time when trouble ensues, etc.. Based on Brennan and Em's recreational drug use, it would make sense for them to be full blown later in life. Especially with Brennan winding up as a clerk. Then you tie the AU back story of how he was recruited into the CIA with his higher education background in Adventureland, etc..

I almost wish someone would cut a fake trailer mixing these two because it would be a bad ass continuation of Adventureland that takes the story in a creative new direction.
