Holy sh@# what a horribly stupid movie

I think this movie has even surpassed the film The Room as one of the worst movies of all time--at least in my mind. Although, whereas the Room was so bad that it was actually funny, Megan is Missing is just plain bad. There are absolutely no redeeming qualities.

The director is either plain delusional or he's living a sick man's fantasy. He actually said that the gist of the dialogue about Megan's cock sucking ordeal was gleaned from actual interviews with a friend's daughter. Can you imagine that conversation?? "Ok, so, did the cum taste awful? Did it come out of your nose and ears? How did you like it?" WTF?????

I also can't imagine what the script was like. 80 pages of nonsense and 20 pages of rape? How can anyone read the script and think that this is a good idea for a movie?

Save yourself 2 hours of your life and abort this movie NOW.

Yes! I agree 100% handled right, the movie could have been a warning to kids and parents alike. Instead its a poorly acted MESS

The last 20 minutes or so are acted beautifully; it gave me chills. Those last 20 minutes are ultimately what counts...in my opinion, of course.

Its all realistic and sends important messages!

No amount of message can make up for the crap. Poorly acted(even the last 20 minutes or so), poorly directed, poorly written, poorly executed, even the sound and lighting sucked.

To call it "realistic" is laughable. The only important message this movie presented was: Before you make something into a movie, make sure it has even competent directing and acting.

The message it attempted to present could have accomplished through a simple 45 second PSA clip on NBC.

You mean mixed messages?

The biggest problem is that it's making the girls seem as though they deserved what they got because of their videochatting. It's basically "girls do this internet stuff and talk to a stranger online and then they get kidnapped". There's no logical or emotional connection between the two. I do believe the film has its heart in the right place with trying to make people aware of internet predators but it comes off as wongfully executed.

I will plant a f--king palm tree in your neck and f--k you f--king gently in its shade!

Worse than The Room? Nope, not even close.

reply

I'm sure I've seen a worse movie in my life, but I sure as hell can't think of one. There's horribly made porn with better acting than this. And the last twenty minutes are not much better, despite the various claims of how disturbing they are. Even if they were directed by Kubrick, they couldn't make up for all the nonsense leading up to it.
