I don't know why everyone thinks that it sucked or it's awful. For one, Megan Is Missing (2011) is a pretty good and underrated movie! That UNFRIENDED is completed stupid movie made, but this movie is all like a realistic movie.

I found this film to be pretty effective.
I always recommend this and The Conspiracy when someone wants to know about a truly unsettling horror or found footage piece. I couldn't stop thinking about either movie for a long time.
The Conspiracy is more psychologically horrific, MIM is visually and psychologically scary.
Boredom is bullsh#t.
The last 22 minutes really changed my opinion on this one. The first hour basically lulls you to sleep. But then it got REAL, basically out of nowhere. That abrupt tonal shift was highly effective in a way it might not have been, if I hadn't gone into the movie basically blind.

I've just watched it. I don't know where all the hate comes from. Yes, the last 20 mins are startling to see, but nothing we've not seen before.
It's called good story telling, rather than torture porn like hostel and saw (the sequels to these at least).
