Funny that you say that. I was a Laveyan Satanist while I was in high school, and have come to the same conclusion as I've gotten older. I don't think the content of the Satanic Bible is really all that bad (Except for the rituals, they're just weird), a lot of the principles of Satanism I think Christians would agree with. But hey let's give credit where credit is due. The guy made a *beep* load of money and became famous, he even convinced a lot of people that he banged Marilyn Monroe. And I'm referring to The Book of Lucifer when I say that, The Book of Satan is taken directly out of Ragnar Redbeard's Might is Right and The Books of Belial and Leviathan are absolute crap (They can be entertaining though, but you are not going to light some candles, say a prayer/invocation, ring a bell, and swing a sword around while you're alone in your room at night, and see any sort of result.)

A while back I started going to church because a girl in some of my classes invited me and I had no intention of being saved and I hate the whole Jesus thing, the only reason I went was cause I wanted to bang her. Unfortunately I didn't get lucky, but I met a lot of people that I like. I stopped going a while back because of how pushy the Pastor was for people to donate money to the church, it didn't have a huge congregation, but it was a damn nice church. One of the nicest buildings I've ever walked into. I gave a lot because church isn't a bad way to spend a Sunday morning or a Wednesday afternoon, I didn't give it cause I was pushed or had to and I think for the most part going is a good thing. But there was this feeling nagging at me that the pastor really just wanted money, He really isn't any different from Anton Lavey. Or the director of Megan is Missing for that matter, yes this film gives us insight on how perverts like Josh work. But in that same vein, the true reason he made it is to make money. I agree that the vast majority of people who become satanists and go to church are brain dead and just looking for acceptance or to piss people off, if you are really a good or bad person you don't need to attach a label to yourself.
