I think it deserves a best picture nomination, but likely won't get it.

but the great thing about this movie is that it isn't just member berries!
it doesn't do what you would have expected - throw the characters in and say 'hey, remember that? they're back!'
instead, it gives the characters new arcs, and completes them in satisfying ways.
i don't know if this deserves awards. i'll leave it to the smart people to be the final authority on such matters. but credit where credit is due. they didn't just pander to nostalgia. they actually made a complete, satisfying, entertaining & surprisingly emotional movie.

These weren’t just phoned in performances either, everyone who came back from a previous Spider-Man film genuinely put in great performances and slipped back into their roles easily.
I don’t know about it’s Oscar chances but it’s easily my film of the year and one of the best big budget blockbusters I’ve seen on the big screen in the last 20 years. What a triumph this film turned out to be.
The script definitely has depth and subtlety, and it is no wonder that the less intelligent among us would mistake that for "no plot" and "corny jokes."

This movie was better than both Endgame and Black Panther IMO. But I doubt it'll get any noms in the creative categories. Best Picture is the only hope because it allows up to 10
Forget it! Imdb rating dropped below 9.0. Only #13 and plummeting.
