Would it have killed them to rewatch the original Spider-Man movies?
Before making a. Follow up to them? Doc Ock shouldn’t know that Norman Osborn was the Green Goblin. Hell nobody should know so why the hell does Sandman know?

shareAll villains in the game know what really went down. : D

There was a brief shot of a headline in the Daily Bugle stating that Spiderman was connected to the death of Osbourne in the film featuring Doc Ock.
Since the Green Goblin had made headlines and was well known in the city, then vanished. It wouldn't be that hard for Ock to piece together that Spiderman was connected to that as well.
It might seem a bit of a stretch, but hey, it's the comics.
I'm sure Doc Ock watched the first SpiderMan movie, so of course he would know who the Green Goblin was.
shareSandman is still alive in Maguireverse. It's reasonable to assume it became known, especially since Osborn died, his board was murdered, and he made weapons.
shareYou know word got around the Bar With No Name. But in all seriousness, of course Ock would know. He worked at Oscorp, he was there, he knew what went down.
