So I just started watching this because I feel out of the loop sometimes lol. Haven't seen any previous seasons but I'm halfway through season 12.

I don't mind the fake drama and I like seeing the hair & makeup, the clothes & homes. I sort of get the appeal of it in a lifestyles of the rich and famous kind of way.

But holy *beep* these people need to put their cell phones down! It's bad enough having friends act like that when you're hanging out but this is a tv show. Their entire purpose is to entertain the audience but they're too busy looking down, scrolling, texting, snap chatting,
instagramming, etc. In almost every scene someone puts a phone in front of their face. They ignore not only their friends and family, but they are also neglecting their jobs. If you want to make a tv show then put your phones away and entertain your audience.

So just wondering, were all the seasons this bad or is this something that got gradually worse through the years? I feel like I wouldn't mind watching the rest of the show but i can't stand the bad cell phone etiquette.

I've watched this show since the beginning lol and the cell phone use has gotten SO MUCH WORSE over the years. Of course the show began in 2007 before social media really took off. But it seems like only the past 2 seasons its just unbearable to the point of where I'm like, "Why am I watching a show of people just on snapchat or instagram?" Its so OTT now its ridiculous, whereas before we'd see them check an email or text for 2 seconds. Now it's like constant selfies and phone scrolling to the point they're ignoring people. So yeah, definitely a newer "problem" with this show.
