Hell of a Lot Better Than Moon Knight

It took about half of the first episode to get going, but it's picked up steam and stayed good through two episodes. This might be my favorite of the Disney+ shows so far. I hope it remains good!

As soon as I saw who posted this, it made sense.

You liked Moon Knight better? I just could not get into that show at all.

reply

Yeah but thats not saying much, cause Moon Knight was utterly terrible and as boring as watching paint dry. This show would've had to be a new level of terrible to not be better than Moon Knight.

And this show imo isn't good by any means, it feels really targeted more towards kids, which is making it hard for me to get into it, but yes its better than Moon Knight, but having my balls stapled to a cinder block would be more enjoyable than Moon Knight.

reply

I won't say it's better than "Moon Knight", so far I'll just say it's more fun!

"Moon Knight" wasn't about fun.

I found very little of interest or quality in the Moon Knight show. You're right that it wasn't meant to be a fun show, but that is true of many films and shows. Moon Knight plodded along, and the story didn't hold together well. The escapes from danger felt phony and contrived, and at the end there was no payoff.

reply

Moon knight wasn't about being good either.

It's more fun and bit better than Moon Knight for sure, but still not a 9/10 or 10/10 show. It's great though.

reply

I mean, yeah, it ain't The Wire, but it's enjoyable.

reply

I’m not enjoying it as much as WandaVision, Loki or Hawkeye but it doesn’t deserve a 6/10 on IMDB.

It’s about on par with Moon Knight and Falcon for me, which is to say there’s plenty of good moments but plenty of boring stuff as well.

I take it that you're among the folks who found Ghostbusters '16 to be "smart and funny" also

reply

Nope, not a fan of that film, I enjoyed Ghostbusters Afterlife though.

I’ll say that none of the Disney + Marvel shows have been as great as Netflix’s Daredevil but I’ve still enjoyed them. I’d rather watch these shows any day over the superhero crap the CW churns out.
