Already review-bombed on IMDB by men over 30

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt10857164/ratings/

Shocking.

reply

Why wasn't it review bombed on Rotten Tomatoes.

reply

RT deletes negative ratings now. If you rate a movie a 0 or 1, more than likely it will be deleted.

reply

racists

reply

Its just a series not targeted for that audience,so of course it will receive lower votes from them. Thats not "review bombing"

reply

EXACTLY...IT'S NOT LIKE PEOPLE SKIP THINGS NOT FOR THEM AND NOT IN THEIR WHEELHOUSE...EVERYONE HAS TO REVIEW EVERYTHING...PERIOD...THAT IS WHY PAW PATROL'S PAGE IS LITTERED WITH ANGRY REVIEWS FROM 40 YEAR OLD DUDES.

reply

This is more watched than Paw Patrol because its a Marvel series though so there is this thing to remember

reply

They vote without watching it. Because youtoob trolls told them it's woke.

That IS "review bombing"! Proof is that male votes are 7 times female votes.

reply

And what about the ones who give it a 10 without watching it. Why does that never get reported on, it is exactly the same thing.

reply

Men who just don't understand why they don't have a girlfriend.

reply

I understand why I don't have a girlfriend. :)

Of course, I also liked the first episode. I liked how they made her parents interesting and I also like, so far at least, they had a girl who seems to be popular but they did not make her an antagonist.

reply

There's no such thing as "review bombing". If something isn't good enough to receive enough positive reviews to drown out the negative or troll reviews, it can't be very good anyway.

reply

You sweet summer child...

reply

?

reply

That means "Yes, there is such a thing as review bombing, you ignoramus".

reply

People might attempt to "review bomb" something they think is crap, but it won't work on anything that's actually good, because good reviews will cancel out the people trolling. So if something has majority-bad reviews, whatever their motive ... Maybe it is actually bad!

reply

It's possible that review-bombing might do some damage, it might hurt the box-office of a film that's fairly good or pretty good, but not a fantastic must-see.

I don't know, I've never analyzed the box-office numbers of films that get review-bombed by these assholes, and I'm too sane to understand why the hell they're so invested in comic-book movies.

reply

It's harder to get numbers for streaming shows, I'm not sure if D+ ever release viewing figures. Something like Ms Marvel is "easier" to watch than a movie in the cinema, as it's already paid for by D+ subscriptions, so someone who might have been deterred from spending money on a ticket has more incentive to give it a go.

reply

I think the opposite is going on here. 38% of all of ratings give this show a 10. Its not being review bombed, it’s getting boosted.

reply

... to combat the review bombing. A chicken and the egg situation.

reply

The 10s have thousands more votes than the 1s. That’s not combating the problem, it’s creating one.

reply

But why are the negative votes the only ones that are being criticized? I agree that it is wrong if you vote a show down because of the demographic of the actors that are in it then it should be just as bad to praise a film for the same reason.

As far as "combatting the review bombing", I think that since the series was announced it was praise a lot before we saw anything so the "review bombing" was to combat the "review praising" and not the other way around.

sad little boys

reply

Maybe the just don't like it?

reply

No, that couldn't be it.
