What happened to the Ethiopeans sick father?

Did they ever explain what happened to their sick father who was said to have been left up in the apartment. We never really see or hear of him aside from when they are all together taking the head count.

reply

He was attacked by the others most likely.

I don't know if I have this right or not, but I think her father is the one at the very end of the movie who kills the camera guy and drags the girl off into the darkness.

reply

Nope. Remember her dad was in a wheelchair and besides they didn't live in the attic apartment. The creature was the scientist who created the virus and became infected himself.

LOL, that thing was white and hardly looked human! AND the ethiopian couple didn't live up in the attic. You can't seriously have thought that was the father! What's wrong with you?

LMAOOO!!! In all seriousness, he had to be attacked by the vet guy when he ran in their room and infected them. He wouldn't be able to do much however, he's in a wheelchair.

The African family replaces the Japanese family in REC... they also have a sick father/grandfather whom we never see.

In the original, it is implied that the Japanese father was already infected like the dog. The family eventually hid in their apartment, so it's most likely they were attacked by him.
