How could they not kick that skinny thing's ass?

I mean, look at scott (camera man) he was kinda big, he could'v easily smacked that skinny thing to the ground if he only would'v fight back but no, he got him self killed, but he manage to kill a crazy lady that was far more aggressive earlier in the film.

And yes i know that thing had a hammer of some sorts but still, if you confront the thing fast it will only get one chance at hitting you, you can take it unless it's a fatal hit to the face/head.

And don't give me "it was all dark" crap, if you get in contact with a person in the dark you know where to go for if your attacking the person.

Also, no way that thing is strong enough to drag the girl at that speed into the darkness.

Oh well, it's just a movie.
But i mean gawd da**!

well i have to say that it was dark, you can't see anything, and if you can't see anything then you can't defend yourself all that good. you can't tell where the attack is coming from or what your holding/touching of the body. you can't avoid being bitten, or swallowing saliva if this thing is drooling on ya which will all get you infected so your screwed anyways. all you can do is try to hold it down, try to wack if and hope you don't miss and hit the ground, but that's the best a person can do. i'm sure if they had a lil bit of light they could of taken the thing down.

Totally agree with original post because I though of it too. Scott took that crazy lady down using his camera, then why didn't he do the same to that skinny thing? He had an advantage over him, he was able to see that thing through the night vision mode in his camera! I don't know, but if I was in his place I'd take my chances, it would be better than just sitting in the dark waiting for it to find me!

To be fair, it was a little brighter when Scott killed the woman.

Also, Scott killed her in self-defence. He didn't have to pick the right moment to kill the skinny thing.

The skinny thing was able to kill him easily and eat his body, so no he would not have been able to kill it with ease......but yes i would have tried right from the moment i saw it.

It was dark mate no point trying to say dont use that as an excuse, because we as humans cant see much in the dark, he could obviously sense them or smell them so that right there is a huge disadvantage.

Also for once the girl was little help, instead of recent warrior women type characters, she was crapping her self, and he was thinking to much of her to be honest, on his own i believe he would have acted, but he was trying to calm her (not to well)
