[REC] vs Quarantine...

I watched [REC] a few months ago and really did not like it. I thought the whole thing was boring.

People have been saying that Quarantine wasn't as good as the original, I would have to disagree. It was EXACTLY the same, It was even in the SAME apartment block (or so it looks) which made it even more boring and not in the least bit scary. At least with the Spanish version I had something to read while it was on.

By the end of both versions I was praying for them all to be dead so I could go about my business.

The sequels will never get a look in in my house!

Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and take a look around once in a while you could miss it.

I do agree with you.. But I liked REC better, I think simply cause I saw it first. Since this one is so carbon copy, there were literally no surprises. The really screwed thing about this is... There might be a few slight differences between these two movies, but the storyline as a whole is damn near identical. Even the layout of the apartment building has the same layout as in REC, as you pointed out.
Come on, Hollywood... Can't we be original & come up with some fresh story lines on our own?

My, you're nosey, aren't you?

I saw [REC] a few weeks ago and just finished watching Quarantine and was surprised by how identical they where. It was like they filmed the movie in the exact same apartment building. Even when the fireman fell and hit the floor it was almost exactly the same in both movies.
I was kidnapped by a pack of mimes. They performed unspeakable acts on me
