Kevin Smith tells fans "Grow the f--- up"

He can't accept the fact that he destroyed a beloved franchise and real fans hate it. He never even watched the show growing up by his own admission.

I use to enjoy his movies as evidence by my handle but I'm done with Smith. Clerks 2 was the last good thing he did

What is he doing? he isn't exactly raising expectations too high as just attracting ridicule.

So, fans matter as long as they like what you've done, otherwise they should "Grow the f--- up"? I've long thought Kevin Smith was a bit of an asshole.

I had no interest in seeing this because Smith’s name was attached. Considering the dude is almost 60 and still dresses like a teenager from the 90’s, I’m not sure he’s in a position to tell anyone to grow up,

Never seen so many snowflakes whining about a cartoon that was so utterly silly and lame that as a young teenager I couldn't sit through an episode. Smith vastly improved the property for my tastes. I understand not liking his vision, but just turn it off and don't watch it. All this bitching and moaning is hilariously juvenile. Kevin's right, they need to grow up. But, so does he in how he's handling the criticizm.

It must also be said that if this project fails, or the show cancelled, Kevin only has himself to blame for pushing the envelope as much as he did. He failed to predict the extent of stretching some fans could withstand. My hope is that there are more viewers who enjoyed it than those who didn't, and that the ones who didn't are just very loud but fewer in number. Time will tell.

I personally very much preferred this over the original, and got a kick out of the several barbs thrown at the limitations of the original (e.g. the comment from Skeletor about finally using the sword as it was meant to be, which turned out to be a double entendre).

Actually i kinda agree with him. You guys hated this shit before it even came out and you assumed that it was only bad because Teela was the focus of it. And the show not even finished. Its a one shot mini-series and you assholes act like this show is fucking end of the world. You didn't even bother to judge on its own merits. Fuck this show with all its flaws. Is better than the She-ra Show that came out in 2018. Unless you would prefer that He-man go down and suck Man of Arm dick. Hey, Maybe Fisto can Join in. Im not saying this show was great. But its not the end of the world event you make it out to be.
