1900 and Fellini?
excuse me, but anyone who has seen this film should admire it. My question to you is, why was this film overlooked, when it evokes an original vision of nostalgia, and also follows on from the traidtion of other great visions like 1900 by Bertolucci and anything by Fellini (with a penchant for landscape ala Sergio Leone, who was perhaps more present in Malena).
anyone that would like to discuss this point with me can also e-mail me on [email protected]
i am currently writing a book on Tornatore, so it would be helpful to gather info about why films like this do not get the attention they used to get at the time of Fellini, Visconti and Bertolucci (respectively, I am referring to movies 8 1/2, The Leopard, 1900).
