Kate is such a *****!

Ok so we have Anna, the once born to be a walking donor for her sister, we have the mum who has neglected everyone in her family and used and abused her youngest. then Kate decides she wants out and instead of having a backbone, uses her own sister to sue he parents. right lets see her list of crimes against Anna

In the beginning, we see Anne pawning the necklace, her father gave her to afford a lawyer. in the flashback we see Anne wearing said necklace indicating it was important to her. No mention of Kate selling her belongings at all. One of her first selfish acts

Putting her own sister through a court case, in which she is openly abused and hit by her own mother.

Though Kate apologises to Anna saying "I'm sorry they hurt you", right because of you, she is going through more pain.

everyone single person abuses Anna, and just because Kate is the one who is dying doesn't mean she gets a "get out of jail free card". She is just as guilty as the parents for what Anna went through.

Anna agreed with her and thought it was the best thing to do. I know that if I was dying and didn't want to further my treatment I'd be worried that people would think I was just suicidal due to depression. and get all anti Jack Kovorkian...

Kate's not a bitch. She told her mother repeatedly that she wanted to stop all treatment and to let go. You see this in the courtroom, the brother says it and the mother denies it but the father backs up the son and says "You just didn't want to see it."

Throughout the movie up until it is revealed we as the audience aren't supposed to know Kate wants the treatment to stop and she wants Anna to fight back. It wouldn't make sense for Anna to sell Kate's things if we're supposed to believe Anna has had enough and is fighting on her own behalf...not for herself AND Kate.

I felt badly for both girls, entire family really, excluding the mom. They knew it was the end and all they were doing was delaying the inevitable, but mom just wouldn't stop.

She didn't get a 'get out of jail free' card, the girl suffered most of her life and died.

I had only admiration. There was so much love between all of them in all directions. It is not that the mother wouldn't, she couldn't stop.
