I've noticed that no one has pointed this out...
It sorta sounds like the writer stole some ideas from My Brother's Keeper (John Lithgow). Similar storylines and VERY similar titles!
shareThe title is clearly a play on Cain's line "Am I my brother's keeper?" in the book of Genesis. Biblical allusions are very common in popular culture.
I haven't watched My Brother's Keeper (1995), but from the synopsis, it does sound kind of similar.
Don't listen to the negative ones; their arguments are irrational.
