Almost feel sorry for his Ex wife? Spoilers.

She actually seemed nice she was just trying to move on because Carl wasn't living life? She seemed so jealous and sad when he became more lively (I know my word choice isn't brilliant haha). I felt sorry for her until she started kissing him after she knew he had a gf. Did anyone else?

She wants fabulous, that is a simple request!

reply

She was a bitch and she deserved it. Whatever happened to sticking it together through thick or thin ? Through good times or bad times ?

Its all about the unique individual rather than the collective. Hence, she left him for her sake and she wanted him back for her sake.

She didn't change. He did.

reply

They were only together for 6 months, so it doesn't really seem like she tried to work through it.

reply

Yeah I didn't really care. I liked him better with Zooey.

He could have still F |_| C |< E |> Stephanie though even if he were to get back together with Amber (?). After all, they weren't dating at the time and hell, he can't say no to the old women (although her having dentures takes care of the teeth-during-BJ problem nicely) but he could to his hot ex wife? Or did he come back off camera?

reply

In a weird way I did feel bad for her.. I like Zoey better, but I did feel bad. I wish they made the ex wife more of a bitch at the beginning of the movie.

reply

I actually didn't feel sorry for her at all. She moved on. She seemed bored with him anyway. Timing is everything.

reply

It never said she left because he was a shut in... I thought he just became one AFTER she left... Either way, she's a bit*h for leaving! :)

"Psychos do not explode when sunlight hits them! I don't give a **** how crazy they are!"

reply

I think he was becoming a shut in while he was still married to his now ex-wife. At the "Yes" convention, when the leader was talking to Carl, the leader said that Carl's wife or gf probably left him because she wanted to live life and he didn't, or something like that. Carl noted that was an accurate assessment.

Yes, she's somewhat of a jerk for leaving but sometimes when you are with a person who wants completely different things out of life than you do, staying with him/her will make your life very difficult and sad. I guess that's why I'm a fan of a long courtship and long engagement to make sure you and your significant other will complement each other's lives.

No, I didn't feel sorry for her before or after she started kissing him and I didn't think she was "nice." Her part didn't seem to be written to arouse sympathy, but to each his own.
