You do know this movie was based on the book "Yes, Man" by Danny Wallace. In the book, some random stranger told Danny that he should say yes more and he decided to try it. He tried it for a day, then the rest of the week, then finally the rest of the year. He did have some parameters to keep things from getting too far out of control. But other than that the movie was practically taking the same concept, and a lot of the events that happen in the book and just rearranging them.
If this is a blatant rip-off of "Liar, Liar" blame Danny Wallace for actually doing the "Yes, Man" experiment.
Also, in "Liar, Liar", his son wished for him not to lie, and Carrey's character just couldn't and lost the ability to lie. Where as in "Yes, Man" he can say no, but since he made a promise to himself, saying no would have some consequences. The thing is also here, a lot of that stuff was in his mind.
In the end "Liar, Liar" was original, and "Yes, Man" was bad on a real experiment by a real man. Who also had a cameo in the movie too.
