We see him at the bar when Carl actually shows up to the gig. He is not in the band so why is he handing out flyers? Is he the ex-boyfriend? any theories?
shareI thought he was Josh Groban at first glance. And on that theory, he probably got pushed aside as the house performer at the bar when Alison's band moved in. Since, I'd rather listen to whatever the hell noise they were making, than Josh Groban.

I wondered about this also. Especially when Carl shows up all friendly, and the dude is like "yea whatever". It makes me think maybe he was just the house promoter, and he didn't care what band was playing that night as long as people paid the cover charge.
shareI took it that he was one of the big fans of the group....you know, as she starts calling them out by name while she is on stage, as if they are her regulars. I figured he was a regular, a big fan and he is helping them try to draw more attendees to the concerts.
