what about the autopsy?

I guess they should have done an autopsy to determine the cause of death for Pierre. Therefore, everybody must have found about the kid's illness and they would have guessed that she performed an euthanasia. She still would have gone to prison since it is still a crime. However, her family would have understood her. Furthermore,I guessed her reason from the beginning, I can't believe her friends and family can't or couldn't. It is not plausible..

It is plausible. Killing a child, for whatever reason, is a huge taboo. People who are thougt of harming children, no matter if they actually did, are seen as inhuman monsters.

Just look at the Casey Anthony case. According to the jury she's innocent. According to many she should be killed for her actions. An eye for an eye. Mankind is bloodthirsty.
