Rohmer discussion + film poster in bkgrnd

They discuss Rohmer a bit at the table. One says how can u teach lit w/o Rohmer, the other says they just don't like . Given the style/genre of the film, I guess the director doesn't like
Also, there is a film poster in the b/ground of the film, one that shows a film, an old one, anyone catch what that was?

I don't remember any film poster

When does it appear in the film?

I didn't catch the poster, but I thought the discussion was hilarious because I had just watched a Rohmer film before seeing this (and I didn't particularly like it).

I doubt the dialogue was a deliberate dig at Rohmer, but I think it was meant to illustrate the black-or-white judgmental attitude of a lot of people. Just as society judges her for being a murderer, the art snobs judge people for their artistic tastes. The drunk idiot assumes if you don't like Rohmer films that means you don't understand them. Haha, he'd make a good imdb troll.
