I haven't the original but kinda thought about seeing this. HSM is a guilty pleasure of mine but mainly because of Ashley Tisdale. It's either this or Real Steel for me but that kinda looks like a poor man's Transformers.

I really loved this movie. It's probably a good thing that you haven't seen the original yet before watching this, b/c from what I am gathering, the main ppl who are trashing this movie are the ppl who are deeply passionate about the original. And they're just upset about it being re-made. I love the original..it is definately a classic. But I also really loved this. I think they did a great job! So go watch this, and then the original. Try not to compare the two movies so much. Just enjoy each of them for what they are.
