Was anyone else quoting this version...


...the very first time they saw it? I'm not sure if that is good or bad, but I found myself doing that a lot. I'm only 1/3 of the way through it, but I'm right at the part where they do the "chicken" races. At least, I think that's what's going to happen. I haven't seen that part yet. It's right after Wren asks Ariel "Why did they pick you," and she replies, "I volunteered." I'm assuming the rest of the movie is similar. I want to say that Ariel says "Get your rear in gear," at some point over the next few minutes.

Now, it's not a verbatim recital of the original. At no point in the opening sermon did Dennis Quaid ever utter the words "obscene rock and roll garbage," but there are enough instances that I felt the need to comment.

Also, I really wish they would have played the song "Heaven Helps the Man," and put it on the soundtrack.
