small town population??

Ok, the thing that I can NOT stand about this movie is that in the beginning it shows a sign that says the population being more than 19,000 people... then they make it appear to be the smallest town ever. Graduating class of 200? Apparently one church in the entire town? My hometown is under 7000 and the graduating class of the larger highschool exceeds 300 every year... wish they would have actually visited a real small town before making a movie about one!

I agree. The population of my hometown was 2,756 when I graduated, and my graduating class was 90. We also had more than one church in town. However, we did have only one stoplight.

19,000 is not a small town.

I live in one of the top 5 largest cities in the USA and my graduating class was like 250. 300 seems like a lot if your town is as small as you say it is.
