It looks like a busy day for The MARVELS Thread with a wide variety of articles ranging from VARIETY to DEADLINE and now LOOPER on why this movie failed.. This movie failing is why the next AVENGERS movie will not do as well as what the previous movies did and all because the characters are simply not that popular on Disney+ to deserve their own movie like the AVENGERS.. Comic Book movie fatigue indeed.. Perhaps Hollywood needs to take a break and come up with something new to sell??

There is a noticeable decline in quality now. This movie has a bland story and a lame villain. Spider-Man, Thor, Deadpool and Doctor Strange sequels I think will continue to do well at the box office if they can keep the quality. I also think X-Men, Blade and Fantastic Four could help carry the MCU for many years to come if done well.

I don't think Captain Marvel has been that popular since she was shoehorned into Endgame and nobody was really wowed by her first film back in 2019 to want to see where her character's story goes. Like someone else said Captain Marvel did well because it was sandwiched between the two big Avengers films during the peak of the MCU not because it was a good MCU film.
