Does anybody feel this was misadvertised?
I went to the cinema to watch this yesterday, and the description of the film simply said; "This is Laurie Strode's last stand against Michael Myers."
This was how all the advertising I saw made out the film to be, as well. And not just the advertising, it was pretty much the theme of Halloween Kills that Laurie and Michael were going to go at it one last time. Even Laurie claimed she'd die if it meant Michael's death. I was pumped
But this movie was just about Allyson's new boyfriend taking over Michael's role. Michael was relegated to a minor side character, until about the last ten minutes when he ran in and attacked Laurie. And the only really reason that seemed to come about was because he wanted his mask back.
After Kills, I was psyched to see Laurie and Michael battle of the death. Not Laurie battle with her granddaughter's divvy new boyfriend.
It's not like I even mind him being there, and going slowly to the dark side. But not as the main plot point. Have Corey as the side character, not Michael Myers.
