shareThey don't have a story arc planned out, they just make shit up as they go. It also happens when there's constant turnovers behind the cameras and in the writing room. I thought the modern Planet of The Apes Trilogy was pretty solid all the way through. The V/H/S franchise is MOSTLY solid too. So it's not impossible.
shareThis is the reason. They don’t hire real writers anymore. Everything is corporate-by-committee. This and the last Star Wars trilogy should have been at least mapped out with character arcs and and a proper structure. Hell, Star Wars should have just adapted the sequel trilogy from the books/comics.
