Jamie Lee Curtis didn't know who Danielle Harris or Scout Taylor-Compton were.

Seen this posted on reddit (https://www.reddit.com/r/Halloweenmovies/comments/y796jo/danielle_harris_scout_compton_talk_about/) and also another forum.

Danielle Harris (Jamie Lloyd in Halloween 4 & 5, plus Annie Brackett in RZ Halloween I & II) and Scout Taylor-Compton (Laurie Strode in RZ Halloween I & II) both got to meet Jamie Lee Curtis at the Halloween Ends premiere.

As per the title JLC didn't know who they were and didn't bother talking to them much, apparently she was quite rude and blunt to them. She did take a picture with them though seen here;

I've seen several interviews with JLC where she does come across as quite direct. Probably rubbed these ladies the wrong way.

It left them both feeling awkward and embarassed.

I think the embarrassment comes from the fact that publicists were involved, which means Scout and Danielle thought that it had been explained conveyed to Jamie lee in advance that there would be a photo op and a run down of who they are. Additionally Danielle was asked to be part of a video tribute to JLC and was told “she loves you!”.

Shouldn't be lying to people like that. Telling Danielle that JLC loves her and then she gets to meet her and JLC has no fucking idea who she is. Rough.

This post grossly misrepresents the podcast. Danielle and Scout say they did NOT expect Curtis to know or recognize them but that the event organizers had told them that Curtis knew of them and was looking forward to meeting them which they took with a grain of salt. Danielle and Scout saw Curtis, waited in the impromptu lineup, introduced themselves and specified who they had played. Curtis snapped at them, "I haven't seen those movies" and turned away.

Scout did not tear up because Curtis didn't recognize her, she was sad because Curtis was rude, dismissive and couldn't even offer a professional pleasantry.

I am not sure why the event organizers would say something like that when Jamie has said many, many times that she hates horror movies and will absolutely not watch one. I don't think she was purposely rude, though. She just didn't know what to say because the Halloween series means nothing to her besides the ones she was in.

Wow, Scout is still very beautiful but she doesn't look much like she did in those movies. I don't think I would have recognized her and I saw those movies several times.

It's nice to see Heather in there. Halloween and NOES are my favorite horror franchises.

I like her performances in many films but yeah...she does seem to be a bit mean at times.

How would you expect Jamie Lee to know actress she never did film with? both are complete nobody!! I had to googles both. I recognise one girl from Last Boyscouts film with Broose Willis but other no ideas.

you can only fault actress if she work with them and she dont know who they are. jamie dont know everyone in hollywood. she at least take picture with the serfs. many ego maniac would refuse.

They're not nobodies to Halloween fans. Danielle Harris has been in 4 films of the franchise.

The problems are;
- Danielle and Scout were both led to believe that JLC knew them and was looking forward to meeting them. The event organizers lied to them and it ended up making things awkward. That's not Jamie Lee's fault of course.

- That JLC 'snapped' at them saying she didn't watch their films and turned her back to them. She could have been more polite about it. There is no need to be so rude to them.

ok that is not nice when you says that. i feel sorry for them if they think she know them.

and if JLC snap at them, i guess she not very nice person. i have seen documentrary when she make hurtful comment about the face of John Carpenter, say he scare her kids (one of them trans so could be right). I surprise she so blunt about man who giver her career! it dont cost much to be polites! just smiles at people and be friendlies, not hard, and go long way.

yes when she get older she no look great but i think JLC very sexies in 80s. world class bodies. but im a big fan of bodies over face. average face plus great bodys > pretty face with no bodys.
