How was your theater experience?

I went to a late night showing because I had to work. Normally I avoid these showings as its usually rowdy, but I figured what the hell. Sometimes rowdy crowds make a movie more fun. During the first 45 minutes there were a few people obnoxiously yawning loudly with another yelling boring. When Michael showed up, there was some clapping which was cool as hes a horror icon. I sat near the back corner of the theater because I try to avoid clusters of people (seat kickers and loud eaters mostly the reason why). I started hearing some slurping sounds and it was starting to get annoying, so I looked back and was about to say "REALLY?" until I realized the dude was getting a BJ from his girlfriend. Thankfully that only lasted 10 or so minutes and they were quiet the rest of the movie. There was a lot of loud obnoxious commentary from some folks...screaming at the screen like they had control over the characters if they just yell loud enough. At this point I was like WHY THE FUCK did I do this tonight? T

When leaving the theater and hearing the talk outside the auditorium, there were a lot of confused people...ranging from why was Michael only in it for a limited time to general confusion about the Corey character. Surprisingly the folks were split, there were a lot of comments like "best movie in the series" to "why did I waste money on this".

Anyways, anyone like to share what their experience was like viewing on the silver screen?

Dude only lasted 10 minutes? What a schmuck. She needs a new bf.

You just encapsulated why the movie theater experience is miserable. Standards of public behavior rival those of the MC politics boards.

Feeling a little insecure today?

reply

10mins seems like a reasonable amount of time for a movie theater bj.

My theater was nice and cozy. No talking aside from my wife and I. The consensus was that the movie was fine but not really a Halloween film.

Our theater is in our basement.

6-8 people max in a Thursday evening showing prior to it's official Friday release. Pretty quiet though with no reactions.

reply

Yeah pretty much same here, there wasn't very many people in the theater and this just about three days after it's release. The most reaction I think I heard was from the people to the right side of me a few seats, seemingly laughing a little when the DJ cusses at Corey and Allyson. The same people also reacted with a "Damn" when Jeremy insults Corey while babysitting.
